Welcome! I help individuals and teams become effective, dynamic and high-impact leaders through insightful executive coaching. People work with me when they want to refine their personal brand, overcome imposter syndrome, emerge as best in class leaders, or become unstuck at work or on a project. Personalized services include one-to-one executive and leadership coaching, group coaching, facilitation, and thought partnership to grow your business. Keep reading to find out how I can help you.
Whether you're new in leadership or looking to fine tune your influence, it all starts with understanding your personal brand. We define personal brand as your professional reputation and what people say about you (and your work) when you're not around. There is no one size fits all approach to becoming an authentic leader or discovering your unique brand, but together we will do just that.
Imposter Syndrome is when someone doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud". Imposter syndrome leads to higher levels of stress, debilitating work-performance anxiety and stalls career progression. A study published in Harvard Business Review shows that imposter syndrome is a fear of top executives worldwide, with 60% indicating it negatively impacted their ability to lead confidently.
Clinical leaders find themselves with many responsibilities that may feel inherently at odds with one another. You excel at patient care because you spent years training for it. But, no where in all your medical training did you dive into the chapter of how to motivate teams to drive for outcomes, generate revenue, retain and engage staff, lead other leaders, and stay afloat without become burned out. It's no secret that better clinical leaders result in better patient outcomes, as highlighted in Why Doctors Need Leadership Training. An Executive Coach helps a clinical leader learn how to lead a team, drive for results, and balance the leadership responsibilities of people manager and employee advocate.
Maybe you can't put your finger on it, but something is holding you back. If you could just work through this issue, or solidify that shaky relationship, you'd feel back on solid ground. By working through your roadblock with me you'll come out stronger on the other side - improved communication skills, renewed focus on what matters most to you, growing from criticisms (including your own), and generating new ideas.
I provide thought partnership to small businesses, old and new. Many business owners launch a product or service and have many great ideas but are unsure where to focus their efforts. One path is better, but another faster. The trouble is if you chase two rabbits at the same time, you'll never catch either one. This is an area where we'll partner and dig deeper on how to prioritize your ideas and capitalize on them to ensure you're poised to make a profit and chase the right rabbit first. We'll set milestones to work towards as well as contingency plans if you encounter a barrier and need to pivot.
As your Certified Executive Coach, you and I will create a personalized plan that enables you to drive for results and support your goals. I've spent 20+ years working with leaders at all levels and in all phases of business growth. I've been on the ground floor of successful business startups and collaborated with leaders in all phases of career. My healthcare background means I understand the pressures a clinical leader is under, and my career as a senior level human resources leader means I've worked with leaders in all parts of the business as a strategic partner. I am skilled at helping great leaders become the best leaders. I provide Executive Coaching because I know that the right thought partner needs to be honest and direct, and that sugar coating or tap dancing around the real issues is likely something others already do for you. My role is to help you become the leader you are destined to be.
When we work together, we'll agree to a process personalized to help you achieve your goals. Before we get can started we'll need to see if we're a good match. Basically, you share what problem you want help with, and I'll tell you how I can help. This is best accomplished with a short phone call. When we move forward and begin the coaching process, we will come to an agreement on confidentiality, desired outcomes, and how we'll define success. Typical arrangements are 3, 6, or 12 months, with flexibility to meet your needs. Some clients may need a shorter engagement if you have a specific near-term goal to focus on.
Coaching is an investment in you, whether you are working with me privately or through your company. Coaching shouldn't feel stuffy or stressful. Done well, it should feel like connecting over a cup of coffee with a trusted friend. My colleagues describe me as transparent and straightforward, funny, and empathetic. My goal is to match with clients looking for self-development, and companies that value coaching as an investment in their organization.
Contact me to schedule a short introductory call. During that call we will discuss the goals and desired outcomes you are seeking from an Executive Coach. I have no sales pitch, the goal of the conversation is to determine if coaching is right for you and if we're a match. If at the end we're not a match, we'll have each gained one new contact to stay networked with.
